Manchester United was more than equal rival to Liverpool in the great derby played at the Anfield Road, but at the end got defeated by 2:0, which is actually a little too big of a difference since even a draw wouldn’t be undeserved outcome according to everything seen on the pitch. Nemanja Vidic got a red card and will be suspended for this game, and beside him Neville is also suspended, but anyhow, Manchester will still be strong enough to maintain the small point difference between them and the first-placed Chelsea, and record their 5th home win of the season in the Premiership. During the week, they played a Carling cup match when they defeated Barnsley away from home by 2:0, when Ferguson gave a chance to many reserve players or even those that didn’t even get a chance to play this season, and all of them totally justified the given chance on the pitch.
Comical
Blackburn has played one more than funny match last week against Chelsea on the road, when they comfortably lost by 5:0, even though they could’ve even lost by double digits if the London Blues were in the mood for something more. Chelsea toyed around with them and held the ball around Blackburn’s penalty box for the most part, while the blue-whites had no chances and only attempting some counterattacks in vain, but were clearly extremely inferior in all parts of the field. Together with Burnley, they are by far the worst visiting side in the league, and Sam Allardyce was clearly angry after the powerless edition of his team last week, but it’s questionable for how much longer are some club officials will be in the mood to keep him on the Blackburn’s bench.
The Red Devils will shoot their deadly arrows
Last season, Manchester United celebrated in all three matches they played vs Blackburn (2 in the league, 1 in the cup), but most of you probably still remember that triumph of their when Blackburn put up more than a decent resistance at the end losing by 5:3. However, this time fully motivated Manchester wants to maybe even take over the 1st spot from Chelsea and I’m confident they will play attacking right from the start, and use Chelsea’s recipe from the last week, when they pressed Blackburn’s individuals, who were inferior both physically and technically, and focus the game around the visitors’ penalty box and control the match from start to finish. The crowd in Manchester is desperate for one convincing triumph, and I think that hopeless Blackburn will continue their dark series. Home win with AH. Good luck…
